Enameled Glass and Gilt metal hinged Casket Box circa 1860

A remarkable enameled casket box has a vibrant turquoise colour that my photos do not do justice.

The enameling is intricate and the cherub heads on the four

feet are an interesting addition to this lovely box.

The lid closes tightly but has no key for what looks like a lock at the front.

 

Measures: 5 inches wide x 5 1/4 inches high x 3 3/4 inches deep.
