This is a fantastic Jacques Gruber French cameo forest scene platter, ovoid reddish
brown panel of a stone bridge over a flowing stream, two handled embossed metal tray.
Bearing his rare signature of Gèer which is the phonetic
representation of "GR" in French -
The first letters in his name.
Dates circa 1900. Great depth.
Jacques Gruber (1870-1936) originally worked for Daum Nancy and later became
famous as a maker of stained glass windows and cameo plaques.
Tray Measures : 15 inches long (including handles) x 8 3/4 inches wide.
