An early piece of sterling silver by the renowned makers Peter & Ann Bateman of London who regestered their joint mark in 1791 when Ann joined Peter in business until she retired in 1805.
This George the III creamer has a hammered texture to its helmet form body and a stippled edge along each side at the rim and a square base. It is dated 1794.
Impressed marks: Makers mark PB AP (you can see only the bottom of the P but the full A B), with Lion Passant, Crowned Lions Head for London, Date letter 't' for the year 1794 and the Head of George the III.
Excellent condition - No dents, cracks or repairs. Minimal crimping at stem (pictured).
Measures : 5 inches high x 3 3/4 inches wide.
